The St. Louis Psychological Association welcomes professionals and students in the field of psychology and related disciplines.

SLPA has four types of membership:
Full Member: Any psychologist who is a full member of the American Psychological Association, the Missouri Psychological Association, the Illinois Psychological Association, or who holds a license to practice psychology in the state of Missouri or Illinois is eligible for membership in SLPA.
Full Membership with Basic Profile Listing ($60)*
Full Membership with Enhanced Profile Listing ($90)**
Affiliate Member: Any person who has a professional interest in psychology may apply for affiliate membership in SLPA. An affiliate member typically has a graduate or medical degree in a subject related to mental health (e.g., psychiatrist, clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor).*
Affiliate Membership with Basic Profile Listing ($60)*
Affiliate Membership with Enhanced Profile Listing ($90)**
*Included with annual membership, all full and affiliate members who are licensed mental health professionals may elect to have a “basic” profile on the Find A Therapist page. This profile page lists name, practice location, telephone number, and clinical interest areas.
**An “enhanced” profile on the Find A Therapist page is available for an additional $30.00 per year. Along with the information in the “basic” profile, the “enhanced” listing adds email address, website address, insurance plans accepted, hours of business, photo, a paragraph about your clinical work, and a Google Map link.
Student Member: Any person who is enrolled in an academic program that is primarily psychological in nature is eligible for student membership in SLPA.
Student Membership ($25)
Retired Member: Any member of SLPA may change to retired status upon reaching age 60 and complete retirement from psychology-related employment. This includes clinical, teaching, and research activities. Any part-time work of a psychological nature, regardless of frequency or number of hours, excludes a person from this category of membership.

All new applications for membership are subject to verification and approval by the Executive Board.
